Benchmark Appoints Sheryl Sorem Director of Sales

HOUSTON, TX, August 28, 2006. Benchmark Hospitality International has appointed Sheryl Sorem as director of sales for The Northland Inn, located near Minneapolis, Minnesota. Charles Nehme, general manager, made the announcement.

Previously, Ms. Sorem was national sales manager for LaQuinta Corporation of San Antonio, Texas. She has also served as corporate director of sales for CSM Corporate of Minneapolis and area director of sales and marketing for Prime Hospitality. In these roles she worked with a variety of properties, including full service, limited service and extended-stay hotels, as well as conference centers.
Sheryl Sorem is a graduate of Normandale College of Minneapolis. She and her family reside in Edina, Minnesota, where she remains very active in community service.
