Noble House Appoints Brett Schoenfield GM
Palm Springs Riviera Resort & Spa Currently Closed and Undergoing $70 million Renovation
PALM SPRINGS, CA, March 19, 2008. Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Brett Schoenfield to general manager of its legendary property in Palm Springs, the Riviera Resort & Spa, according to Noble House President Greg Champion.
Schoenfield brings more than 22 years of venerable hospitality experience to the Riviera and will be responsible for overseeing and implementing the resort's pre-opening systems, controls and procedures in addition to directing the daily operations of the 404-room luxury property once it re-opens in Fall of 2008. The iconic resort is currently closed and undergoing a $70 million rejuvenation.
Schoenfield was most recently the President of the historic Homestead Resort & Spa in Hot Springs, VA., where he managed the property's $110 million renovation that included the expansion of 483 guest rooms, public spaces and grounds. He spent a total of 12 years at The Homestead, initially being hired as the Rooms Division Manager and subsequently being promoted to Hotel Manager, General Manager and Executive Vice President before being appointed President in 2004.
Prior to that, Schoenfield served with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts for 10 years in a variety of hotel operation/rooms division positions for many of its properties including the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, TX., Hyatt Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico, the Grand Wailea Resort & Spa (formerly the Grand Hyatt Wailea) and the Hyatt Regency Kauai, both in Hawaii.

A native of Michigan, Schoenfield graduated from the University of Nevada - Las Vegas, with a bachelor of science degree in hotel administration.
