LParis Le Grand H^otel Appoints Laurent Gabard Director of Sales

PARIS, France, October 17, 2006. Laurent Gabard has been appointed Director of Sales and Marketing at the InterContinental Paris Le Grand H^otel. Gabard was previously Regional Director of Sales and Marketing for the InterContinental Hotels Group in Lebanon. Gabard will notably have the task of continuing with the repositioning of the renovated Grand H^otel - the largest of the Parisian luxury hotels with 470 rooms and 21 reception rooms.

Gabard has a wealth of experience within the travel industry having held sales positions at the French leisure tourism company, VVF Vacances Group, as well as Eurovillage, a European tour operator specializing in family vacations.

Gabard graduated with a degree in international hotel management from ESSEC Business School and also attended Cornell University, specializing in sales, marketing and communication.

Now the only InterContinental property located in the French capitol, the InterContinental Paris Le Grand H^otel has both the largest room capacity and the largest reception room capacity of all the traditional luxury hotels in Paris. Entirely renovated, this 470 room property is situated in Place de Op'era, at the crossroads of the luxury, business and tourism areas and is one of the brand's four international benchmark hotels.
