Larkspur Purchases The Cartwright in San Francisco

SAN FRANCO, CA, October 19, 2006. Larkspur Hospitality, one of the nation's fastest growing independent hotel companies, announced today that it has acquired The Cartwright Hotel in San Francisco, California. The hotel, which will also be operated by Larkspur, is the company's first leisure-based property in the popular tourist destination of downtown San Francisco.

Located in the heart of downtown San Francisco, The Cartwright Hotel features 114 guest rooms and offers an ideal location, just a few blocks from Union Square and the Powell Street cable car line. The hotel is also minutes away from popular San Francisco destinations such as Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, the Embarcadero and the new Westfield San Francisco Centre. The hotel recently underwent a $2.5 million renovation to refurbish its guest rooms and public spaces. Each guest room is designed to show off individual and distinctive antiques along with original black and white photos of the early 1900's in San Francisco. Other hotel amenities include complimentary wireless High-Speed Internet access in all guest rooms, a complimentary Healthy Start Breakfast each morning, a wine reception each evening and the hotel is pet friendly.

The hotel offers two meeting rooms for smaller conferences and receptions. The J.A. Adams Board Room offers 336 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate groups of up to 25 in a theater-style setting. The larger, Yerba Buena Room features 714 square feet of meeting space and can host groups of up to 50 people. Both rooms provide wireless High-Speed Internet access and a full selection of audio-visual components.
