APRIL 15, 2008. Christopher Sheldon joined Jackson Shaw in April 2008 in the new position of Vice President - Hotel Operations, celebrating his third move to Texas. Christopher's career began in England in the 1970's after achieving his Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Catering Management from the University of Surrey.

He was promoted several times with Holiday Inns Inc. and moved to the USA in 1979 to eventually become the District Director for areas within Texas and Oklahoma. Later, he joined Steve Jorns at American General Hospitality in 1987, where he helped the company grow to become the leading manager and REIT of its day. It was during this time that Christopher added many more brands to his experience, particularly under the Marriott flag.

After moving to Washington, DC with the Meristar merger in 1998, he broke out on his own to form Sheldrake Hotels International with the intention of growing a boutique hotel business model and consulting for many clients in a variety of capacities. During the Washington years, Christopher was involved with a condo hotel development project, along with a small historic hotel with a 4 diamond restaurant. During 2003 and 2004, Christopher assisted the Procaccianti Group with their Marriott portfolio.

In 2005, Christopher was recruited to assist the leading hotel chain in China and spent 25 months with Jinjiang Inn Company, based in Shanghai.

Christopher has earned a reputation for providing innovative and seamless solutions for hotel asset management, regardless of geography. This enables him to remain positive through numerous economic cycles, and is positioned to provide a consistent level of service. All of this hospitality and business leadership will now be highly geared towards managing and growing the Jackson Shaw hotel portfolio of projects with his usual passion for excellence.
