Jumeirah Makes High Profile Appointment of Senior Vice President, Americas
Frank van der Post to join Jumeirah in North America
NEW YORK, NY, September 29, 2005. Jumeirah, the multi-award winning luxury hospitality group, has announced the appointment of Mr. Frank van der Post as Senior Vice President, Americas.
The appointment follows a series of high profile announcements made by the group recently, which included confirmation that it will manage one of New York's finest hotels, the Essex House Hotel as of January 15, 2006.
Mr. van der Post will be responsible for all of Jumeirah's activities and operations within the Americas, and joins the rapidly developing group after having spent more than 20 years with the InterContinental Hotels Group in Europe and North America. Most recently he held the position of Regional Vice President Operations, Eastern US and The Caribbean, and General Manager of The Barclay in New York. He will assume his new role with Jumeirah in November of this year.
