Konover and Waterford Announce Sheraton Renovation in Windsor Locks, CT
Waterford Hotel Group Assumes Management of 237-Room Airport Location
WEST HARTFORD / WATERFORD, CT May 6, 2008. Konover Hotel Corporation and Waterford Group today announced that they have partnered on the Sheraton Hotel at Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, CT. Hotel ownership, R.K. Bradley Associates, LP, is a partnership between affiliates of Konover and Waterford. Substantial renovations are planned for the Sheraton hotel, including an exterior facelift, renovations to the lobby, reception area, pool and fitness area, ballrooms, food and beverage outlets, garage, club lounge and refurbishment to all 237 guest rooms. The hotel will remain open during renovations, which is targeted for completion in 2009. The hotels asset manager will be Konover Hotel Corporation and the operations manager will be Waterford Hotel Group, both national hotel companies.
The Sheraton Hotel at Bradley International Airport was developed and constructed by Konover Hotel Corporation in 1987 and has been professionally managed by Konover Hotel Corporation ever since. The 237-room full-service hotel is the only hotel located within the airport complex. An elevator from the indoor, underground 300-car parking garage provides direct access to the hotel and Bradley International Airport terminals. On-site amenities of the 10-story hotel include a Concierge Floor and lounge, an indoor swimming pool and complete exercise facility, high speed Internet access, fifteen meeting rooms, a full-service restaurant, lounge, Starbucks Cafe and grand ballroom to accommodate meeting and banquet functions up to 400 people. The hotel offers several unique packages, including a stay, park, and fly package. The Sheraton Hotel at Bradley International Airport has maintained its high rating by being a Sheraton Select Hotel for overall guest satisfaction and Starwood Best in Class for all North American Sheraton Airport Hotels. It consistently ranks in the top 10% in its division for customer service.
