Fodors Deploys Quigo's AdSonar

AUGUST 29, 2006. Fodor's Travel has signed an agreement to deploy a private label version ofQuigo's AdSonar platform on Fodors.com.

With AdSonar, Fodors.com willgenerate new revenue to its site through an auction-based, pay-per-clickprogram featuring content-targeted sponsored links placed by performancemarketing advertisers. "More and more advertisers have expressed interest in making certain theirmessages appear in a contextually relevant environment," says LaurenPalmer, Director of New Business Development.

"We chose Quigo because weare confident in their ability to monetize targeted audiences within thetravel category, were impressed with their technology and back endoptimization and because we believe that Quigo offers the best chance ofdriving the largest amount of revenue."

Unlike other blind ad networks where advertisers are uncertain of thespecific sites or pages in which their ads will run, Fodors.com'spay-per-click program powered by Quigo's AdSonar will offer fulltransparency. Sponsored link advertisements will be available on the Fodors.com homepage with multiple targeting options available toadvertisers including specific pages and section fronts, as well ashundreds of topics or keywords such as "airline tickets" or "hotels."
