Lodge Hotels Takes Over Operations of Adjancent Properties in Houston
Stewart Martin Appointed General Manager of Both Properties
HOUSTON, TX, June 4, 2008. Lodge Hotels & Resorts commenced operations on April 22, 2008 for the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport Days Hotel and Baymont Inn and Suites representing 377 rooms in the Houston Airport market. This is Lodge Hotels & Resorts' first properties in the Houston market.
The Days Hotel and Baymont Inn and Suites are located next door to each other, connected by a skyway and located just five miles from the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport. "This is an important milestone for Lodge Hotels & Resorts as these properties allows us growth beyond the Midwest market," remarked Joel C. Cairy, Managing Partner - Sales and Marketing of Lodge Hotels & Resorts.
The Baymont Inn and Suites features 157 guestrooms and the Days Hotel features 220 guestrooms each with complimentary wireless internet, workout facilities, three swimming pools, a shared restaurant and more than 15,000 square feet of dedicated meeting and exhibit space between the two properties, all positioned on over ten acres.
During this transition, Mr. Stewart Martin was appointed General Manager of both properties. Mr. Martin joins Lodge Hotels & Resorts with extensive knowledge of the Houston market as well as nearly twenty years of hospitality operations in both limited-and full-service hotels.
