Rate Tiger Unveils Beta Version of Forecasting Tool

Managing room inventory and rates across numerous distribution channels is a challenge for hotels and chains of all sizes, from the smallest independent properties to the largest names in the industry. To help manage this online distribution and ensure hotels can identify and guarantee the most competitive rate at any given moment, Rate Tiger today announced an innovative hospitality technology offering to optimize management of online hotel inventory distribution and revenue strategy. The limited beta version of RTStrategy, the first affordable intelligent software aiding hoteliers in online benchmarking, rate calculation and forecasting as well as distribution management, debuted at the annual Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HITEC) conference in Austin, Texas.

RTStrategy promises simplified, improved yield and price management for hoteliers. The product assesses price points in comparison to competitors and evaluates distribution outlets to provide a revenue schedule through three unique strategy options: Position, Occupancy and Parity. All three can be combined with a Lowest Rate Guarantee.

For any channel, RTStrategy will allow hoteliers to work with Lowest Rate Guarantees integrated into the three key strategies. Revenue managers can preview up to an entire year through each strategy to gauge yield.

RateTiger has also included a "Hot Date" feature allowing users to apply different strategies for different date ranges dependent on successful holidays, business periods or events for the hotel.
