Karma Resorts Report All Guests and Staff Are Fine
BALI, October 5, 2005. As much of the world is hearing about the sad events of the bombings in Bali on Saturday evening, Karma Jimbaran are thankful to report that all guests, staff and the families of our staff members are all accounted for and uninjured.
John Spence - Chairman and Owner of Karma Resorts flew into Bali early on Sunday morning and has quickly pledged his commitment to the future of Karma Resorts in Bali and his desire to continue growing his portfolio of investments both in Bali and beyond.
John and the family of staff at Karma Jimbaran will assist the community of Jimbaran and those Balinese families that have been so greatly affected by the loss or injury of their loved ones.
The majority of Balinese people live very modestly and survive from pay period to pay period, it is therefore imperative that we do the utmost to assist these wonderful people. Already Karma Resorts has been liaising with the Chief of the Jimbaran Community to quickly develop financial aid and employment schemes to assist in the loss of income to those both working and injured at the sites of these heinous acts.
Today we witness a major return of tourists and local people to the streets, beaches and cultural hubs of Bali and we could not be more happy and grateful to those who continue to support our Island home.
Karma Jimbaran continues to offer the finest in pool villa accommodation, resort facilities and service. We look forward to communicating with you again in next few days to keep you up to date with our work in the local community and how each guest we welcome to Karma Jimbaran in the next 6 months will contribute to the financial aid of those affected - a scheme we are quickly working on.
The family of staff at Karma Jimbaran would particularly like to extend their greatest thanks for the messages of support and encouragement and all the thoughts we have received from around the world.
