HAPN, a New Hotel Networking Group Held First Event June 5th
HAPN's first networking event was immediately after the CHLA & AAHOA annual regional conference
JUNE 30, 2008. The group raised much needed funds for their first adopted charity, BOND (www.bondinfo.org). ""We really appreciate Hospitality Alliance Professionals Network helping to promote our message and raise needed funds to rebuild fathers, families and particularly disadvantaged young people. Thanks, HAPN!"...says Patrick Rooney, Director of Development, a Los Angeles based non-profit which aims to instill the idea of "rebuilding the family by rebuilding the Man."
By producing events and donating the proceeds, the group (www.hapn-ing.org) wishes to facilitate hospitality industry education and opportunities thus insight among attendees. In additional, the organization intends to achieve meaningful connections outside itself by promoting and supporting a variety of communities and scholarship programs across the globe. "I think, we the industry professionals, require diversity to propagate fresh ideas and advance our craft in order to become better hoteliers. Our ability to participate across several established hospitality organizations will be our challenge to achieve this end", says Craig Sullivan of North American Title, a core sponsor. The ad hoc group is planning their next event during The Annual Lodging Conference this September. Proceeds from the Phoenix event will be diverted directly toward scholarships within the hospitality industry.
