Rodolfo Roth, GM Marquis Reforma, Honored by AMAIT
Receives Key of Progress Award
OCTOBER 27, 2006. Rodolfo Roth, General Manager of Marquis Reforma, a five-star boutique hotel in Mexico City and member of Leading Hotels of the World, was presented with the Key of Progress (La Llave del Progreso), for his devotion and dedication to the hospitality industry. The Key of Progress is awarded to the most outstanding men and women in the hospitality and tourism fields by AMAIT, a hospitality association comprised of principal suppliers. The Key of Progress was presented at Centro BANAMEX in Mexico City on opening night of ABASTUR, a world-class hospitality exposition featuring the best products and services in Latin America. Only four hospitality executives were honored at this year's ABASTUR on October 4, 2006.
The Key of Progress was created to publicly honor hospitality executives for their dedication, spirit of service, contribution to the national tourism industry and their great love of Mexico. Founded in 1975, AMAIT members nominate and select the recipients for the award. To be nominated for the award, recipients must be a Mexican national or foreigner with a history of service in Mexico's hospitality field; contribute to the development of the hotel and restaurant industry; reflect the values of AMAIT including respect, integrity and honesty; and show creativity and capacity for innovation.
As a Key of Progress recipient, Roth boasts 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Roth is a member of the Skal Club of Mexico City, a branch of Skal International - the International Association of Travel and Tourism Professionals. He lives in Mexico City with his wife and their three children. He holds dual Swiss and Mexican citizenship.
