Langham Promotes Two to Vice President
SEPTEMBER 1, 2008. Langham Hotels International (LHI) has promoted two senior executives to vice president - reflecting the company's recognition of their commitment as the luxury hotel operator doubles its size in the next two years.
Mr Winston Suen is now Vice President - Corporate Engineering and Mr Patrick Wong is Vice President - Projects - signalling the leadership of both to ensure a consistent look and product quality in each of the new hotels joining the LHI portfolio.

Previously Group Director of Corporate Engineering, Mr Suen will continue to lead the engineering function. He will manage and oversee the strategic implementation of the hotel engineering and corporate standards.
Mr Suen has held a number of senior corporate roles. He was previously the Hong Kong-based managing director of The Viking Corporation, general manager of Kidde International and Technical Services Manager of Hong Kong and Shanghai Hotels. Mr Suen first joined the group in 2004 as Director of Engineering - Corporate. In his new corporate capacity, he will play a vital role in formulating strategic engineering policies in hotel operations and hotel development worldwide. He also oversees new hotel projects to meet LHI's corporate engineering standards.
Mr Patrick Wong
Previously Group Director of Projects, Mr Wong will provide strategic guidance for Langham Hotels International's new projects at a design level. He will head up project development as LHI expands on a global scale, developing tailored on-brand solutions to deliver cutting edge designs to Langham Place branded hotels and timeless traditional looks which project innovative luxury hospitality for The Langham brand.
Mr Wong joined the Group in 2005. He has been involved in a wide range of projects related to new hotel developments. He provides a strategic design overview for each new project to ensure integration into the Langham Hotels International portfolio. Following his promotion to Vice President, Mr Wong will continue to oversee the group's development of projects to ensure leading edge services and products are incorporated for guests to LHI standards.
