NOVEMBER 1, 2006. LodgeNet Entertainment Corporation, the world leader in interactive TV and broadband solutions to hotels, and Petters Hospitality and Entertainment Group today announced their intention to integrate Petters Group's Polaroid(R)TM brand high-definition (HD) displays with LodgeNet's HDTV platform for high-definition free-to-guest (FTG) and video-on-demand (VOD) services. Petters Hospitality has also adopted Pro:IdiomTM content security technology that will enable LodgeNet served hotels with Polaroid flat panel screens to display Pro:IdiomTM protected HD premium satellite and VOD entertainment.

'In order to become the HD display solution of choice among hoteliers, our Polaroid displays must provide the best possible experience to viewers in the guest room,' said Jon McGaunn, President & COO for Petters Hospitality. 'We consider compatibility with LodgeNet's HD platform to be crucial in delivering the in-room entertainment, information and interactive services that guests want and expect.'

'We are pleased to add Petters to the roster of leading manufacturers who have committed to making their displays compatible with our SIGNETURE HDTVSM solutions,' said David M. Bankers, Senior Vice President, Product & Technology Development for LodgeNet. 'This agreement expands the potential range of HD display options from which hoteliers can choose with confidence.'

The industry standard for premium content copy protection, Pro:IdiomTM utilizes the 128-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and supports digital video and data formats recognized by the Advanced Television Systems Committee (ATSC). Pro:IdiomTM protects satellite delivered programming and video-on-demand content against piracy at every point in the distribution chain to the TV display.
