Mark Ford Joins Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Hollywood as VP Finance
SEPTEMBER 24, 2008. Mark Ford has joined the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino as vice president of finance. In this capacity, he oversees a team responsible for financial operations of the hotel and casino including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, casino credit, casino cage, procurement and warehouse and receiving.
Prior to joining the Seminole Hard Rock, Ford worked for Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut for 15 years with various responsibilities ranging from vice president of finance to executive director of finance and financial controller to director of operational accounting.
Before his tenure at Foxwoods, he worked at Bally's Grand Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey for ten years in various positions in internal audit and general accounting.
He's a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. His community outreach includes active involvement as a United Way of Southeastern Connecticut volunteer for seven years serving on the finance committee, as a board member, treasurer and investment committee chair and board of directors chair-elect. Also, he was the Town of Ledyard girls' softball league board member serving as the treasurer for seven years and coach for 13 years.
Ford graduated from the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma with a bachelor of business administration in accounting. He attended the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada for an executive development program and the Center for Creative Leadership.
