SAN FRANCISCO, CA, September 25, 2008. The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences, San Francisco announces the appointment of Kevin Williams as general manager. Williams joins the property from The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, where he was both director of meetings and special events and acting hotel manager, a position he has held since 2006.

Williams began his hospitality career in 1986 at the Boston Marriott, Copley Place, followed by assignments at the New York Marriott Marquis, the San Francisco Marriott, and the Santa Clara Marriott. After a four-year assignment with the W Hotel in San Francisco, he joined The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C. in 2005.

"We are delighted Kevin will be at the helm for us in San Francisco. His well-rounded and deep operational experience is complemented by leadership skills adept at managing small, high-performance teams that make him an excellent choice for this position," said John Cottrill, senior vice president, The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences operations.

A graduate of Paul Smiths College and the University of Houston with degrees from both institutions in hotel and restaurant management, Williams has developed an award-winning meetings and events team at The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay. His focus on creating alliances across multiple hotel departments has increased both guest satisfaction scores and operational efficiencies for the AAA Five-Diamond resort.

Williams embraces the new opportunity at The Ritz-Carlton Club and Residences. "It is an honor to be working at the forefront of the urban, fractional and residential field. I am very excited to bring a Ritz-Carlton service and operational background to this beautiful and historic city property."
