OCTOBER 5, 2008. Bitter End Yacht Club, the Caribbean's premiere luxury watersports resort located on the lesser-known island of Virgin Gorda, has announced the appointment of industry leader Sandra Grisham-Clothier as Chief Operating Officer of Gorda Estates Limited - the holding company for The Bitter End Yacht Club and North Sound Express, a BVI inter-island ferry service. Grisham-Clothier, an experienced director of luxury boutique Caribbean resorts with significant marine assets, assumes responsibility of all resort operations, including the North Sound Express ferry service. She is a veteran of Bitter End's management team and returns to the resort bringing a wealth of luxury hospitality experience gained from previous positions with Peter Island Resort, Rosewood Resorts and Rock Resorts.

Grisham-Clothier comes to Gorda Estates Limited after four years as General Director of Peter Island Resort, BVI, where she oversaw resort operations, sales and marketing and revenue management, all while ensuring that service was maintained at a five-diamond level. She previously served as Resort Manager at Little Dix Bay, a Rosewood Resort, BVI, and at The Lodge at Rancho Mirage, CA, a Rock Resort. Prior to that, Grisham-Clothier was Managing Director of Bitter End Yacht Club, where she was responsible for a significant increase in revenue and an overall enhancement of the infrastructure of the property and improved employee morale.

In her role as COO of Gorda Estates Limited, Sandra Grisham-Clothier will work closely with a soon-to-be appointed General Manager and Resort Manager Mary Jo Ryan, to oversee day-to-day operations, as well as develop the resort's overall vision and business strategies in conjunction with Managing Partner, Dana Hokin.
