OCTOBER 20, 2008. With an unyielding commitment to anticipate guests' needs and deliver service that is both attentive and welcoming, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Clarence McLeod to the newly minted position of Corporate Fairmont Gold Manager. An experienced hospitality connoisseur, with nearly 20 years of hotel-related experience, McLeod most recently held the position of Fairmont Gold Manager at The Fairmont Washington D.C, Fairmont's first hotel in the United States to offer this exclusive lifestyle product aimed at meeting the needs of the most discerning corporate and leisure travelers.

"Over the years, Fairmont has built a reputation of exceeding guest expectations while providing exceptional service that places our guests at ease," said Andrea Torrance, Vice President, Rooms. A large part of McLeod's initial focus will be on the growth and development of the Fairmont Gold product. This includes supporting and fully leveraging the recent introduction of Fairmont Gold in locations like Dallas, Chicago, Scottsdale, and Banff, as well as developing the product in some of the company's upcoming hotels including the Makkah Clock Royal Tower, A Fairmont Hotel, Fairmont Abu Dhabi Creek, Fairmont Haitang Bay Resort, China and the Fairmont Marrakech.
