Switzerland Travel Centre Ltd. London Under New Management
LONDON, UK, October 17, 2005. The board of directors of Switzerland Travel Centre Ltd in London (STC UK) has announced the appointment of Michael M"ader (36) as the new managing director of STC UK.
Michael M"ader is a Swiss national and has gained in-depth experience in the area of tourism. Among other positions he worked as branch manager for STA Travel in Bern and sales manager at STA Travel Switzerland responsible for all Swiss branches of this travel operator. Having been involved in a long-term IT project for STA Travel in London, he has also gained invaluable experience in the area of electronic distribution. He is currently at Switzerland Tourism in New York, managing the consumer promotions in the USA.
Michael M"ader will start his position at STC UK on 1st January 2006 replacing Katherine von Ah, who has left the company. He will take over from Klaus Oegerli, CEO of Switzerland Travel Centre AG and member of the board of directors of STC UK who will be managing the business in London until such time.
Switzerland Travel Centre Ltd in London is a 100% subsidiary of STC - Switzerland Travel Centre AG (formerly Switzerland Destination Management AG in Z"urich) and specialises in travel to Switzerland as well as information services. STC UK handles yearly around 75,000 clients.
