Trafalgar Launches New Online Trip Gift Registry
DECEMBER 9, 2008. Just in time for the Holidays, Trafalgar is launching an online Trip Gift Registry unique to the escorted touring industry that will enable travelers to register their upcoming tours and allow relatives and friends to make a contribution to pay for part or all of the trip as a vacation, graduation, anniversary or birthday gift, or for any occasion the traveler is celebrating.
Travelers who have booked any 2009 Trafalgar Tour can now create a Trip Gift Registry online. Once a traveler has registered their upcoming trip, they can download and send personalized announcement cards to their relatives and friends to let them know on what tour they have registered and invite them to contribute.
Travelers can also set up a personal travel website and blog through the Trip Gift Registry site to keep their own friends and relatives up to date on all the details of their trip and allow them to be a part of the vacation experience. An online digital photo album program (for posting an unlimited number of photographs) is also included. All of the Trip Gift Registry site's features are available free of charge to the traveler, though there is a small handling fee charged to the individual making the gift.
Relatives and friends can visit the site to make their gift contribution, view the traveler's website and photo gallery, as well as send a personalized gift card to the traveler to notify them of the gift contribution.
