Apple Core Announces Executive Promotions
DECEMBER 11, 2008. Apple Core Hotels today announced the promotion of Vijay Dandapani to President of the leading collection of midtown Manhattan hotels. In this new position, Dandapani will continue to oversee the operations, growth and brand direction of Apple Core Hotels as the company continues to provide outstanding service and value to travelers.
A member of the Apple Core team since August 1993, Dandapani has been instrumental in the company's growth and development, including acquisitions, numerous hotel renovations and the development of in-house distribution systems. Prior to joining Apple Core Hotels, Dandapani held key operational positions with a number of high-profile hospitality organizations, including Chatwal Hotels and Grand Champions Resorts Corporation. A hotel industry veteran, Dandapani is also a member of the Board of Directors for the following associations: Hotel Association of New York City, NYC & Company, NYSHTA (New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association) and the International Hotel Motel & Restaurant Show at Javits. Dandapani has been recognized by Crain's New York Business as one of the top 100 minority business leaders in New York City.

Ranadhawa joined the Apple Core Hotels team in 1994; he has been Director of Operations for the past ten years. In this position, Ranadhawa will continue to supervise the Apple Core Hotels management team and oversee all aspects of operations.
