Interstate Announces Four Texas Hyatt Place Leadership Teams
DECEMBER 18, 2008 - Interstate Hotels & Resorts today announced the appointment of the executive teams of the following Texas hotels: Hyatt Place Hotel Austin Arboretum, Hyatt Place Hotel Grand Prairie, Hyatt Place Hotel Houston/Greenspoint and Hyatt Place San Antonio Airport-South.
Most recently with the Interstate Hotels & Resorts-managed Ann Arbor Marriott at Eagle Crest Resort, Scott Snofsky has been named General Manager of the Hyatt Place Hotel Austin Arboretum. Snofsky, both an Interstate and a hospitality industry veteran, brings his vast experience to his new role in Austin. Kathie Morgan has been selected for the Director of Sales role at the Hyatt Place Hotel Austin Arboretum. Morgan, most recently with the Hilton Austin Airport, brings her comprehensive transient and group sales knowledge to her new position.
Mark Mitchell has been appointed General Manager of the Hyatt Place Hotel Grand Prairie, alongside Tracy Gleeson, the newly selected Director of Sales. Mitchell, a 15-year hospitality industry veteran, brings a vast amount of industry knowledge to the position. He has most recently served as Director of Sales and Marketing with Quartz Mountain Resort, located in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma. Additionally, Tracy Gleeson brings immense sales experience to the Director of Sales role. Most recently with the Marriott Dallas/ Fort Worth Hotel & Golf Club, Gleeson has over 12 years of experience in the hospitality industry. Gleeson serves on the board of the Great Southwest Industrial Park, as well.
Angie Schade was recently appointed to the General Manager role at the Hyatt Place Houston Greenspoint. A veteran of Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Schade was formerly with the Courtyard Fort Worth West Lands End as General Manager and the Director of Sales at the Residence Inn Houston Medical Center. Jonathan Elkins has been selected to the Hyatt Place Houston Greenspoint as Director of Sales. Most recently serving as the Sales Manager with the Hilton Garden Inn Bush Intercontinental Airport, Elkins brings a vast knowledge of the North Houston market to his new position.
Most recently with Intercontinental Hotels Group serving in an Area Manager role, James Hill is the new General Manager of the Hyatt Place San Antonio International Airport. Hill brings a vast amount of knowledge to the position, having been in the hospitality industry for more than ten years. Gina Mirabella has been appointed Director of Sales of the Hyatt Place San Antonio International Airport. Mirabella, also a hospitality industry veteran, was most recently a Sales Manager with the Hampton Inn San Antonio Downtown.
Interstate Hotels & Resorts has also hired Tommy Yates into the position of Area Director of Sales overseeing all four, new Texas Hyatt Place properties. With over 10 years of experience in hospitality sales, Yates brings his extensive experience in business transient sales to his new position. Yates recently served as Business Travel Sales Manager with the Sheraton Suites Market Center Dallas. In addition, John Rodriguez was hired as the Area Director of Revenue Management and brings hospitality experience in both revenue management and sales. John most recently served as Area Director of Revenue Management with John Q. Hammons Hotels and Resorts.
