New Health Retreat Gives a Fresh Attitude Towards Disease Prevention
JANUARY 29, 2009 - Staying healthy in these stressful times is a challenge in itself but the launch of Fresh Attitude Health Retreats early in 2009 may provide participants with the impetus they need to implement and maintain a healthy lifestyle.A key component of the retreat will be 'rebounding', participants will be bouncing gently on a mini-trampoline several times a day. Literally bouncing guests back to health.
These week-long retreats take place in stunning countryside locations offering the choice between Bordeaux in France or to Cape Town in South Africa.
N.A.S.A. published a scientific paper more than 20 years ago which concluded that: "rebound exercise is the most efficient, effective form of exercise yet devised by man" - but it is only now that people are beginning to realize the powerful benefits of this miracle exercise.
The focus is to bring the body, mind and soul together via meditation, exercise and various body therapies. Meals will be vegetarian and organic together with live fruit and vegetable juices served throughout the day.
The retreats have been designed by Janet Gourand who was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer two years ago.
"As I was recovering from breast cancer I took full advantage of the many alternative therapies which were available to me. I have taken the best of those treatments, together with the latest knowledge regarding nutrition and have designed the retreats to give renewed vitality and a 'fresh attitude' to participants. We want people to leave our retreats armed with the latest knowledge to live a long and healthy life and with this in mind we have incorporated a daily health 'seminar' into the program.
Our retreats are aimed at those recovering from a chronic illness, wanting to lose weight or simply wanting to stay healthy. We are limiting the groups to ten in number in order to keep the experience as personal and exclusive as possible." As cancer, diabetes and obesity affect more and more people the negative effects of eating fast food and drinking too much coffee and alcohol are becoming clearer. Retreats such as 'Fresh Attitude' are likely to become more popular than traditional package holidays as people begin to take responsibility for their own health.
The first retreat takes place in early March, 2009. More information can be found on http://www.freshattitude.biz
