Company's successful online travel model leads to worldwide growth

DUBLIN/SAN MATEO, CA, October 20, 2005. Web Reservations International (WRI), on the heels of significant growth in both its hostel and hotel bookings, announced plans to increase staff by 100 percent. Also, the company is relocating its Dublin headquarters to new, larger space. The company is currently booking more than $1 million daily for its online accommodation inventory, representing properties in 190 countries.

"We've grown significantly in the last few years. The addition of staff and the increase in office space are important steps in ensuring we best support our customers' needs in the years to come," said Ray Nolan, chief executive and co-founder of WRI.

Along with its flagship brands, Hostelworld.com and WorldRes, WRI owns several other online accommodation booking sites, including Hostels.com, AmazingPlaces.com and Trav.com. The company has affiliate distribution relationships with websites such as SideStep, Opodo.com, Ryanair, Lonely Planet and Let's Go.

WRI provides online booking to more than 35,000 hotels and 10,000 hostels worldwide through two business units, which include:

-Hostels division, focusing on online bookings and reservations technology for the budget, independent and youth travel sector.

-Hotels division, focusing on online hotel reservations through trade relationships with hotel and affiliate partners.
