FCS Wins Prestigious HOSTEC Award
FEBRUARY 9, 2009 - FCS Computer Systems is pleased to announce that it recently won the HOSTEC Hotel Industry Association of China "Preferred IT Product" award for its FCS iServices IP telephony application. The award is in recognition of the technical excellence of the iServices solution and FCS's position as a major global player in the hospitality IT solutions space.
The iServices application allows hotels to deliver easy-to-use services and information resources directly to today's technology-savvy guests. It is designed to drive guest-focused services and information to the touch screen of a number of IP telephones in hotel guest rooms. It can display a variety of dynamic content such as information about hotel amenities and local attractions as well as weather, flight and stock market information. iServices also allows guests to request service items for the room, set wake-up times and Do-Not-Disturb status, or book restaurant reservations via a touch screen interface. The iServices solution is supported on telephones from Nortel, NEC, Cisco, Avaya, Teledex and others.
FCS CEO Tony Lee said, "We are very pleased and honored with this recognition from our customers and experts in the hospitality industry. FCS believes that increasing mobile telephony, decreasing long-distance phone revenue and the growth of new network services are driving a rapid technological change in what communication technology is available to the hotel guest. Guests now expect feature-rich information streams, and hoteliers need to deliver it at a lower cost than ever. The FCS complete solution portfolio addresses this challenge by providing compelling new applications for guests."
