Bob Walsh Appointed GM of Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld

ORLANDO, FL, March 6, 2009 - The Renaissance Orlando Hotel at SeaWorld proudly announces Bob Walsh as the new General Manager of the hotel in Orlando, beginning March 21, 2009. Walsh was most recently the General Manager for the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, California.

Walsh began his Marriott career in 1984. In his twenty-five years with Marriott International, he has held many positions of merit including Area General Manager, General Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Catering and Director of Catering & Convention Services. His willingness to contribute to Marriott International's success has not only allowed him to achieve excellence for the company, it has enabled him to work at many different Marriott properties including Troy, Romulus, Dearborn Inn, Atlanta Marquis, Atlanta Airport, Richmond and New Orleans.

Walsh has accomplished a great deal during his career with Marriott Hotels and Resorts and most recently with Renaissance Hotels. He has been awarded numerous Associate Excellence Awards, Financial Excellence Awards, Food & Beverage Excellence Awards and Event Team of the Year awards throughout his tenure with the organization.

Walsh possesses strong leadership skills and has a solid focus on a high performance customer experience. His engagement in the community is evident by his current service on the Boards for JFK Hospital, Palm Springs CVA, United Way, and Big Brother Big Sisters.
