APRIL 2, 2009 - MTM Luxury Lodging, which manages Hotel 1000, Alderbrook Resort & Spa, Cave B Inn at SageCliffe, Willows Lodge and The Woodmark Hotel, as well as other premier hotels in the Northwest, announced today it has secured the management contract for the Bellevue Park Hotel, a new property developed by Hydra Developments, LLC and slated to open in Old Bellevue in spring 2012.

"The Bellevue Park Hotel fits very well into our growth strategy and makes a fine addition to our collection of luxury hotels," said James Simkins, CEO, MTM Luxury Lodging. "We believe that downtown Bellevue is perfect for a unique boutique hotel such as this. It will be the antithesis to the big box hotels in the city, and breathe new life into the hospitality offerings for Bellevue similar to what occurred with our Hotel 1000 in Seattle."

The 100-room Bellevue Park Hotel will be a four-star property located just south of Bellevue's Downtown Park. It will feature a boutique spa, a 90-seat restaurant with a lively lounge and 4,500 square-feet of meeting and event space. The southwest Bellevue location, a half mile away from the city's core, is becoming a boutique-style neighborhood with upscale residential condominiums, small restaurants and chic retail shops.

"We chose MTM Luxury Lodging to manage our hotel, because they are the best at what they do," said Micah Pittman, CEO for Hydra Developments, LLC. "This will be a flagship development for our firm and we had considered developing various hybrids of residential, hospitality and retail. Ultimately, our analysis led us to choose an all-hotel concept and MTM Luxury Lodging to manage our property, because of their proven track record in the luxury, boutique hotel market."

Shugart Bates has been contracted for architectural planning, while Susan Marinello Interiors will execute the overall design concept.
