PERRY, IA, November 14, 2006. The following announcement was made today by Pattee Enterprises, Inc. owner of the Hotel Pattee in Perry:
"It is with great regret that Pattee Enterprises, Inc. announces it will close the Hotel Pattee on December 30, 2006 due to continuing substantial operating losses since the hotel's reopening 10 years ago. Originally built in 1913, the Hotel Pattee was acquired by Pattee Enterprises in 1993 and underwent extensive renovation before reopening in 1997. The ownership will evaluate proposals for alternative uses or to purchase the property."
