HITEC 2009: Addresses Latest Technology Trends and the Economy

AUSTIN, TX, April 20, 2009 - From the hottest hospitality technology topics to surviving the current economy, the 2009 Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC(R)) education program focuses on how technology applications are applied to the hospitality industry. HITEC 2009, produced by Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP(R)), is June 22-25 at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, Calif.

"In the current economic climate many are forced to tighten resources while finding a way to stay on top of what is happening in the industry," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "The HITEC 2009 education program not only focuses on the latest trends in hospitality technology, it also provides insight into using technology to survive the recession."

From Monday through Thursday, there are over 40 education sessions on topics such as social media, guestroom technology, IT infrastructure, surviving a tough economy with help from technology, demystifying Web 2.0, building a wireless network and more. Included in the concurrent sessions are a series of club-related sessions. Held on Wednesday and Thursday, these sessions conquer technology topics specific to the club industry like advanced tactics on IT planning, best club technology practices and more.

Monday's schedule includes a special Roundtable discussion on 12 various topics, as well as a series of tech fundamentals that cover topics from VoIP systems to disaster recovery and even career opportunities.
