Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio Announces Janelle Cram as DOSM
HONOLULU, HI, April 30, 2009 - The Hilton Waikiki Prince Kuhio has hired Janelle Cram as the director of sales and marketing. Cram will lead the sales and marketing team, as well as develop and implement targeted sales and marketing strategies. In addition to identifying and creating marketing opportunities, Cram will examine and coordinate direct marketing efforts to include new market development and community outreach.
Cram brings to the team a dynamic blend of accomplishments and talents that includes transitioning brands, repositioning hotels, increasing market share, public relations, e-commerce promotions, staff training and successful team building.

With nearly 20 years of experience, Cram began her career path with an eight-year tenure at Aircoa/Richfield Hospitality Services, holding such positions as Sales Manager, Director of Sales, Traveling Director of Sales, and Regional Director of Sales & Marketing. From there she transitioned her experience to Regional Vice President of Sales for Prime Hospitality, with whom she worked for more than four years developing their AmeriSuites brand. There, Cram garnered the attention of Hilton Hotels and accepted a position in Portland, where she oversaw the sales, marketing and revenue management of the Doubletree Jantzen Beach and Doubletree Columbia River, both convention hotels. Following her time with Hilton, Cram was hired by Omni Hotels with whom she spent more than three years as the Director of Sales & Marketing for their downtown Los Angeles location, and was promoted to Omni's flagship hotel in Irving, Texas, the Omni Mandalay. Most recently Cram served as a Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Prism Hotels based in Dallas.
Cram is an active member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International. Being a dedicated participant in business and community related boards and organizations, Cram is a current board member for the City of Los Angeles Downtown Center Business Improvement District, Advertising Committee Board Member for L.A., Inc., and is looking forward to contributing her skills and support to local committees here in Hawaii.
