Nearly 1500 New Hotel Rooms in Fiji for 2006
FIJI, November 11, 2005. Booking a holiday in Fiji in 2006 has just got easier with an additional 1451 new rooms available, representing a 17.3% increase on 2005.
Bill Gavoka, Chief Executive of The Fiji Visitors Bureau who will be attending the international World Travel Market in London (November 14-17), recently announced the substantial increase.
Four hundred extra luxury rooms will be available in the form of golf apartments at the new Ritz Carlton Marriott at Momi Bay. Eighty more luxury rooms will be available at the Denerau Hilton, Denerau Island, while Sonasali Resort in the Mamanucas will be offering 49 additional luxury rooms.
Forty six more luxury rooms in the form of the first over water bungalows in Fiji will be available at the Likuliku resort opening on Malolo Island, Mamanucas, in the middle of next year. In the Yasawa islands a new luxury boutique style retreat, Navutu Stars, will be open, comprising 12 stunning bures (bungalows).
Mid range increases include 100 new rooms at the all inclusive Naviti Resort on the Coral Coast. In the budget bracket the Nadi Bay Hotel, Nadi will be providing 200 new rooms and the new dive focused Mango Bay resort on the Coral Coast will be open.
Mr. Gavoka, announcing the substantial new bed stock for 2006, said, ""Fiji is currently experiencing a very healthy tourism growth as the islands offer an exotic, safe holiday experience. This substantial increase in hotel availability will enable us to meet this booming demand."
