NEWARK, NJ, November 14, 2005. Doubletree Hotels proudly welcomes a new gateway airport hotel to its collection with the opening of the Doubletree Hotel Newark Airport. Located adjacent to Newark Liberty International Airport and just 12 miles from New York City, this former Wyndham(R) property is currently undergoing a multi-phase enhancement project in key areas of the hotel, which adds the finishing touches to the hotel's $30 million renovation completed in 2001.

The Doubletree Hotel Newark Airport is owned by W2005 WYN Hotels, L.P., operated under a franchise agreement with Doubletree Hotel Systems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Hilton Hotels Corporation and managed by Interstate Hotels and Resorts Inc.

"The Doubletree Hotel Newark Airport is a great compliment to more than 30 airport hotels in our brand's portfolio. More important, this new addition is the perfect example of how our brand continues to have incredible potential to grow in key strategic locations throughout North America," said Dave Horton, senior vice president - brand management for Doubletree Hotels.

The spacious 396 guestrooms and suites at the Doubletree Hotel Newark Airport welcome travelers with a clean, contemporary environment of cool colors, woods and textures. The hotel is currently installing the Sweet Dreams(R) by Doubletree Sleep Experience in every room -- which includes a plentiful amount of pillows, a luxurious linen package of a down-filled duvet wrapped in triple sheeting and a specially designed plush-top mattress and box spring system that ensures a great night's sleep. In 2006, guest bathrooms will be redesigned and upgraded with new lighting and fixtures.

Business travelers will appreciate such guestroom features as large workspaces with outlets at desk height, cordless phones, ergonomic seating, high-speed Internet access and remote, secure in-room printing services. Wireless high-speed Internet access is available in public areas, along with a well-appointed business center for those last-minute needs.

The Doubletree Hotel Newark Airport offers more than 16,000 sq. ft. of event space that is suitable for any occasion. The elegant 7,280 square foot Grand Ballroom and the 3,872 square foot Elizabeth Ballroom can accommodate receptions up to 600 and 300 guests, respectively. Eight additional meeting rooms provide flexible environments for small meetings, workshops and corporate training sessions.

In Shula's 2, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, fans are able to enjoy flavorful meals in a fun, social setting while enjoying the latest in sports viewing technology with state-of-the-art video walls and dozens of big screen televisions. For fitness and recreation, guests also have use of a fitness room with cardio stations and free weights, a sauna, and an indoor heated lap pool.
