. October 14, 2008

ARLINGTON, VA, December 5, 2005. Interstate Hotels & Resorts today announced the promotion of Keith Clampet to executive vice president, hotel operations. In his new position, he will be responsible for overseeing management of a portfolio of more than 70 full-service properties and will report to Paul Burke, president of hotel operations. Previously, Clampet served as vice president of operations, responsible for overseeing management of 22 full-service hotels.

"Keith's 30 years of experience in hotel and resort operations in a variety of markets together with his strong leadership skills ideally qualify him for this position," said Paul Burke. "In addition, he has a proven track record of success with Interstate, where he has served with distinction since 1995 in positions of increasing scope and responsibility, culminating in this promotion."

Clampet began his hospitality career as director of catering and convention services at the Park Suite Hotel in Denver, responsible for an operation producing $3 million in annual revenues. He moved up quickly through the F&B ranks and subsequently shifted his career focus to hotel management. In 1995, he joined a predecessor company of Interstate as general manager of the 500-room Sheraton Colorado Springs. Following successful and profitable stints as GM at large, branded properties in Colorado and Texas, including two four-star hotels, Clampet was promoted to area director of operations in 2000 and to vice president of operations in 2001.

In addition to being a Certified Hotel Administrator and Certified Food and Beverage Executive, Clampet is on the board of the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association.
