Embassy Suites in Tampa Opens

MEMPHIS, TN, November 20, 2006. Embassy Suites Hotels today announced the opening of the Embassy Suites Hotel Tampa-Downtown Convention Center. The opening marks the addition of the first full service, all-suites hotel in the downtown district, as well as the first Embassy Suites Hotel to be built in downtown Tampa.

The 20-story, 360-suite hotel is owned by WMB III, LLC, and is managed by Hilton Hotels Corporation. Total project cost for the hotel is in excess of $100 million.

The hotel provides guests with a full complement of services and amenities consistent with all Embassy Suites Hotels, such as spacious, two-room suites, complimentary cooked to order breakfast, an evening manager's reception* and the EmbassyDirect(tm) Registration Kiosk featuring hotel check-in, check-out and airline boarding pass printing. Additional features include wireless high-speed Internet access in the atrium and all public areas, as well as high-speed Internet access in each suite, a heated outdoor pool, a full-service business center and a full fitness center.

The hotel is the only building that is conveniently connected to the Tampa Convention Center by a Sky Bridge. Guests also will enjoy the convenience of boarding an electric streetcar from a station located just outside the hotel entrance. This public transportation system takes passengers along the downtown waterfront to two popular entertainment districts, the waterfront shops, restaurants and attractions at Channelside and Ybor City, Tampa's Historic Latin Quarter.

The 31-ton pedestrian passageway measures eight feet wide, 158 feet long and rises 20 feet above Franklin Street. The skybridge creates a link between the hotel and the convention center that no other downtown hotel offers.

Suites: Spacious, two-room suites include a separate living area with a sofa bed and desk, private bedroom and bath, two televisions, two dual-line phones, high-speed Internet access, a wet bar, refrigerator, microwave oven, and an iron and ironing board. Room choices include seven conference suites and two floors of executive suites.
