Red Carnation Hotels' List of Awards Keeps Growing
LONDON, UK, December 9, 2005. Red Carnation Hotels, the international collection of luxury boutique properties, are delighted to announce another triumphant night of prestigious awards.
Sponsored by Eurostar, the annual VisitLondon awards celebrate and reward the capital's top tourism businesses, and form part of the England Excellence National Awards. To qualify, contestants must have been adjudged to provide an exceptionally high standard of facilities and customer service. Both of RCH's five star London properties, The Milestone Hotel and Apartments and "41" in Buckingham Palace Road, were shortlisted in the Small Hotels category, no small achievement in itself given that the list was confined to just six finalists from a very crowded field.
The finalists were competing for three awards in each category; Gold, Silver, and Bronze. At the ceremony held at Old Billingsgate Market on Tuesday 29 November it was announced that "41" and The Milestone shared the Silver Award, a magnificent achievement that means that RCH operate two of the capital's top three hotels in its category.
Commenting on the result, Jonathan Raggett, RCH Managing Director, said, "We were justifiably proud to have two hotels included in the shortlist. It was a fantastic achievement for both hotels to be nominated for these awards, and thrilling that they then both went on to win Silver. Managers Andrew Pike, Malcolm Hendry and their teams are to be congratulated for the hard work, dedication and commitment that enabled them to gain this wonderful accolade. Our congratulations also to The Halkin, winner of the Gold Award, but we know that our constant and unrelenting dedication to quality for guests will ensure that we're up among the favourites next time round as well."
These awards cap a memorable year for RCH. On 27 October they were winners of a National and Greater London Training Award in recognition of 'bottom up' quality of service for guests. Two days later, The Twelve Apostles Hotel and Spa in Cape Town and Hotel d'Angleterre in Geneva were both announced as winners of Leading Hotels of the World regional Commitment to Quality Awards.
In addition to the two hotels so recently garlanded, RCH also owns four four-star London properties; The Chesterfield Mayfair, The Montague on the Gardens, The Egerton House Hotel, and The Rubens at the Palace, offering the same absolute commitment to quality that brought success for their five-star partners.
