The Homestead Names Julie Wooten Vice President of Human Resources
HOT SPRINGS, VA, December 7, 2005. The Homestead has named Julie Wooten vice president of human resources for the historic Virginia resort.
A seasoned, 13-year veteran, Wooten began her career with ClubCorp, which owns The Homestead, in 1989. Most recently she had been partnered with the Country Club Division working with clubs on the West Coast, in the Northeastern United States, and in Florida. Wooten also served as the southeast regional human resource manager in the Business & Sports Club and Country Club Divisions.
"Julie is a valued and widely respected individual in her field and as a member of the ClubCorp team," said Brett Schoenfield, president of The Homestead. "We are honored to have added such an experienced individual to our growing family at The Homestead."
Wooten's responsibilities will include overall planning, direction, management and administration of the human resources office, including the development and administration of policies. In addition, she will manage benefits, compensation administration, employee relations, human resources information systems, payroll and employee recruitment.

Wooten, who grew up in Tampa, worked for Anheuser-Busch -owned Busch Gardens as both human resource manager and an employee training and development representative. Wooten attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, and earned a degree in business administration/human management.
