The Newly Renovated Radisson Hotel in Largo, MD Opens
AMC Delancey and Paramount Hotel Group Transformed former Doubletree Hotel
SPRINGFIELD, MA, December 8, 2005. The recently renovated, highly anticipated, 184-room, six-story Radisson Hotel-Largo celebrated its spectacular grand opening recently with honorary guest Prince George's County Executive Jack B. Johnson.
"We are pleased with not only the tremendous turnout for our grand opening of the new Radisson Hotel-Largo, but the overall excitement and buzz in Prince George's County about the new hotel," said Kenneth P. Balin, president and chief executive officer of AMC Delancey, Inc. "This dramatic renovation at the Radisson Hotel-Largo was a step in the right direction towards the revitalization of Prince George's County for the benefit of all. Paramount Hotel Group is an excellent local operating partner whose interests are clearly aligned with our own and it is a pleasure working with them. This acquisition and its repositioning is clearly a win-win for the local marketplace, as well as the partners involved."
Formerly known as the Doubletree Club Hotel, the 184-room, six-story Radisson Hotel-Largo, was acquired by AMC Delancey Group, Inc., a Philadelphia-based national real estate investment company, and its joint venture partner Paramount Hotel Group, LLC, earlier this year 2005. The two companies completely overhauled the hotel and re-branded it as a Radisson, and have experienced much success since its soft opening in early September.
Located off the I-95/495 Beltway in the Inglewood Business Center, the new Radisson Hotel is situated within a major suburban office market northeast of Washington DC, near numerous corporate and government demand generators. In addition, the hotel is within close proximity to FedEx Field, home of the Washington Redskins and the new "Boulevard at the Capital Centre" retail center. The Blue Line of the D.C. area Metro has now been extended to Largo Town Center, nearby the property.
