MTM Luxury Lodging Announces Dream Team for Seattle's Hotel 1000
SEATTLE, WA, December 19, 2005. MTM Luxury Lodging announces the management team that will lead the opening and daily operations of Hotel 1000, Seattle's premier luxury hotel opening June 26, 2006 at 8:45 a.m.
MTM Luxury Lodging appoints Brian Flaherty, vice president and general manager; Jodi Forslund, director of sales and marketing; David Ornelas, controller; Matt Hagerman, director of rooms; Kini Sanborn Parente, associate director of sales; and Darrell Maxwell, food and beverage manager.

"Each brings years of uncommon experience to the property and we believe they will personally ensure Hotel 1000 becomes the superior luxury destination in downtown Seattle."
Brian Flaherty brings over 25 years of hospitality management experience including senior roles with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Maui, Toronto and the Olympic in Seattle. In addition to his general manager responsibilities at Hotel 1000, Flaherty will eventually assume leadership responsibilities within MTM Luxury Lodging.

Jodi Forslund joins Hotel 1000 as director of sales and marketing. Forslund has held similar positions at the Edgewater and Grand Hyatt Elliott in Seattle and within Starwood Hotels & Resorts, in Hawaii and Seattle.
David Ornelas comes aboard as Controller. His financial experience includes controller positions at Ian Schrager's Hotel ZaZa and the Stoneleigh in Dallas. Previously, Ornelas was with Starwood, where he was a controller at several properties and general manager of the Sheraton Suites in Dallas.
Matt Hagerman will serve as Hotel 1000's director of rooms. Most recently, Hagerman was the hotel manager of the Bellevue Club, including the responsibilities of front office manager and revenue manager. Previously, he was with Kimpton Hotels as front office manager at the Alexis Hotel in downtown Seattle.
Kini Sanborn Parente will lead corporate sales and the business travel accounts. Sanborn's sales experience includes positions at the Edgewater and Sorrento Hotel, both in Seattle. Previously, Parente spent five years in Barcelona, Spain, where she managed accounts and developed the west coast market for Hotel Arts Barcelona, part of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company.
Darrell Maxwell will be food and beverage manager. Maxwell's experience includes serving as manager of the Georgian Room in The Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. Previously, Maxwell was the general manager of the House of Blues' Foundation Room in Los Angeles and head of the food and beverage department at the five-star, five-diamond Hotel Bel Air.
