Change at the Top for Accor UK
LONDON, UK, January 09, 2006. Accor Hotels are appointing Jean-Jacques Dessors as Managing Director UK & Ireland.
Prior to his arrival in the UK 3 years ago, Jean-Jacques was Director of Operations for the Sofitel, Novotel and Mercure brands in Paris Ile de France.
Dessors said 'I'm delighted to be taking on this extended role. Accor hotels are growing fast and we now have 93 hotels across the UK and Ireland. Our Novotel brand recently won the AA Hotel Group of the year award, Ibis is well established and will soon see the introduction of our new bedroom design and Etap is a brand we look forward to developing rapidly. Charlie Langlais currently UK Managing Director in charge of Novotel and Mercure has been appointed Director Germany with responsibility for the 160 Ibis, Etap, Formule 1 and Suitehotels in the country.
