Fastbooking Targets Italy

. October 14, 2008

FastBooking is opening a representative office in venice, Italy in a bid to consolidate and develop FastBooking's presence in the Italian market.

With 270 hotels now using FastBooking Engine, Italy represents 20% of the Parisian company's turnover and 15% of the total number of nights generated through its tools. A team of 3 e-consultants and 1 salesperson already deal with the Italian market on a full-time basis.

"The transalpine market is proving to be one of the most promising in terms of e-business. Italy frequently comes just behind France in the list of European countries showing the most significant development in on-line distribution, with a 50% increase forecast by 2008" comments Francis Louis Passerini, Director of the Italian representative office. 'This is definitely the right time to be setting up an office here.'

The new office with its staff of 3 should enable the French team to integrate more closely with their Italian customers.
