Dolce Honors Sales Force at Annual Sales Conference

Paul Dolce Named General Manager of the Year

. October 14, 2008

MONTVALE, NJ, February 03, 2006. How does a conference center company make a splash at their own annual meeting? Dolce International the global hospitality company specializing in the meetings experience for its customers, recently held its annual international sales conference, at Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose, CA. In between a "refresher" course on the art of negotiating, handing out awards to its top sales executives for 2005, and revving up for 2006, sales associates kicked off the Olympic Games a little early this year with some friendly competition between the regions.

The highlight of the conference, the awards ceremony, showcased the best in sales and provided well-deserved recognition. Dolce's William F. Bolger Conference Center in Washington, DC stole the ceremony, winning three of the top awards among the more than 110 sales reps who attended the ceremony. The Bolger Center's three major awards included "Sales Team of the Year," Valerie Gordon as "Global Sales Manager of the Year," and Paul Dolce as "General Manager of the Year."

"We are very proud of the efforts of our entire sales force and honor them for their team spirit, leadership and tremendous sales performance," stated Andy Dolce, Chairman and Managing Partner. "Each of these individuals showed excellent growth in their respective regions."

Dolce, which is currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, showed an increase in new customer sales in 2005 after it announced plans to offer a more flexible pricing plan to new groups rather than the complete meeting package pricing system, considered the gold standard in the conference center business. In addition, the recent enhancement of features on their website, www.dolce.com/meetings, has drawn greater visibility and sales, along with a focus on internet marketing.

Recipients of Dolce's other top sales awards for 2005 included:

"Conference Sales Manager of the Year" to Jimmy Vermeeren of the Dolce Kasteel Vaalsbroek.

"Travel & Leisure Sales Manager of the Year" to Kathrin Kiesewetter of Dolce Bad Nauheim.

"Director of Sales & Marketing" to Brigitte Lallemand of Dolce Chantilly in Paris.

"Catering Sales Manager of the Year" to Jessica Edel of Oak Ridge Conference Center in Minneapolis.

Thirteen individuals were also named "Target Achievers of the Year" and ten were inducted into the "President's Circle."

Chairman and Managing Director Andrew Dolce was recently named by Business Travel News as one of the 25 most influential executives of the business travel industry for 2005. This is Mr. Dolce's second appearance on Business Travel News' top 25 list. Mr. Dolce earned the distinction for launching change in the conference center industry's once strict pricing structure, known as the complete meetings package (CMP), to target new business growth. The result for Dolce International was tremendously successful and spurred other conference center chains to reconsider how they market corporate meetings services.

Andrew Dolce founded Dolce International 25 years ago and turned it into a global hospitality company specializing in the meetings experience, with properties throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe.
