Manno Named Managing Director, Lansdowne Resort
LANSDOWNE, VA, February 13, 2006. Tom Manno has been appointed managing director at Lansdowne Resort. The 305-room luxury property is managed by Benchmark Hospitality International.
A veteran hotelier with nearly three decades of marketing and operational experience, Manno was most recently corporate senior director of sales and operations for Regent International Hotels, where he was responsible for the pre-opening of hotels and resorts in the eastern U.S., Europe and Asia.
In other experience, Manno served as vp and general manager at the Doral Golf Resort & Spa of Miami. He was also area manager for Westin Innisbrook Resort in Tampa; general manager at The Ritz-Carlton of St. Louis; and vp and managing director of the PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
Additionally, he served as executive vp at the Biltmore Hotel Co. and its subsidiary, the American Travel Academy, and executive director for the Austin Convention & Visitors Bureau. He began his career in hospitality with Hyatt Hotels.
