Millennium & Copthorne Hotels To Switch To SynXis
Worldwide hotel company will use SynXis RedX for all of their distribution management need
UNITED KINGDOM, June 23, 2005. SynXis, a Sabre Holdings (NYSE:TSG) company, announced today that Millennium & Copthorne Hotels plc (M&C) will use the SynXis RedX Distribution Management System beginning the last quarter of 2005. M&C, the London-listed international hotel arm of the Hong Leong Group Singapore, owns and operates over 90 hotels in 18 countries.
Hotels marketed under M&C's chain code, MU, will use RedX to connect to GDSs and online retailers. In addition M&C will use the RedX booking engine to power their www.millenniumhotels.com site and each individual hotel's web site. M&C will also use the RedX voice reservation feature for their central reservations offices around the world.
"After an extensive review of CRS providers, we chose to partner with SynXis because they had market-driven products and services which were able to meet our needs going forward." commented Gerry Oh, Senior VP Global Sales & Marketing, of M&C.
M&C is a dynamic hotel group, which operates a global community of hotels for modern business and leisure travelers in major gateway cities. The group's range of four and five-star properties reflect the individual characteristics of their location while meeting the demands which today's travelers require.
"We are thrilled to add such a prestigious group as M&C to the SynXis portfolio," said Bill Nicholson, president and general manager, SynXis. "M&C is a company that drives quality and high standards, so it is a natural fit for them to select SynXis who has always set the bar high with our innovative products and services."
