Rosen Shingle Creek Expands Sales Staff
ORLANDO, FL, March 6, 2006. With the physical structure well on the way to its September 2006 completion, the Rosen Shingle Creek's sales team is building its own steam toward opening with an internal promotion and two new hires.
Leslie Menichini, Director of Sales and Marketing, Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, announces the promotion of Sadie Natale to Tour and Travel, Leisure Sales Manager. Additionally, two new staff have joined the 1,500-room resort's sales team. Ann Marie Gillen is named Sales Manger of the Midwest and Dawn Hatch is named Director of Reservations.
As Tour and Travel Sales Manager, Sadie Natale will oversee the tour and travel sales throughout the U.S. Natale has been with Rosen Hotels & Resorts since January 2000. Prior to coming to Rosen Shingle Creek as the Executive Assistant, Natale held several positions at the resort's sister property the Rosen Centre, serving as Reservations Manager, Group Housing Coordinator and Group Billing Coordinator. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that she has gained over the years with Rosen Hotels & Resorts.
As Sales Manager of the Midwest, Ann Marie Gillen is responsible for the Midwest territory corporate and association. Gillen brings more than 17 years of Orlando hospitality experience to the new resort, including four years at the Rosen Shingle Creek's sister property, the Rosen Centre. At the Rosen Centre, Gillen served as sales manager focusing on the association business in DC and the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to the Rosen Centre, Gillen was sales manager for Six Continents Hotels and Resorts in the Florida regional sales office in Orlando. She was also director of meetings at CLT Meeting.
Dawn Hatch is named Director of Reservations and is responsible for overseeing the leisure and individual reservations systems for the resort. Prior to coming to Shingle Creek, Hatch was director of reservations for four years at the Caribe Royale Orlando. Hatch has also served as reservations/revenue manager and front office manager at the Adam's Mark Hotel at the Florida Mall and the revenue manager and hotel assistant manager at the Adam's Mark Hotel in St. Louis, Mo. Hatch was also assistant general manager and front office manager at the Drury Inn Union Stations in St. Louis, Mo.
"The resort is fast approaching completion," explains Menichini, "which means anticipation is building and all eyes are on us. Filling key positions such as these that will reflect the service philosophy associated and expected with Rosen Hotels is imperative to reaching and exceeding our sales goals. We're excited to welcome these associates to their new positions."
Occupying a 230-acre site along Shingle Creek, the headwaters of the Florida Everglades, the resort will offer an array of nature-focused activities, including hiking, fishing and seasonal canoeing. The resort is gaining acclaim for its two-year old championship Shingle Creek Golf Club, recently named "One of the Top 40 Best New Courses" by Golfweek magazine and "One of the Top 25 Most Challenging Courses in Central Florida" by the Orlando Business Journal, and for the Brad Brewer Golf Academy, offering corporate golf clinics.
The Rosen Shingle Creek is the newest addition to the Rosen Hotels & Resorts group, which currently owns and operates six award-winning properties in the Orlando destination market.
