G-rez by GHO Launches at ITB
Low Cost and Simple GDS And Internet Solution
BERLIN, Germany, March 8, 2006. Great Hotels Organisation (GHO) has announced its latest product, a new GDS and internet reservations solution, G-rez, due to be launched at ITB (March 2006). G-rez will target three-, four-, and five-star city centre and resort hotels and aims to have 1,000 properties signed up within the next three years.
The G-rez technology has been developed in conjunction with hoteliers, ensuring that it is user friendly and simple for hotel staff to operate. The system has been built to ensure that hotels achieve maximum bookings. In addition G-rez is changing the way hotels pay. G-rez will challenge the overpriced GDS marketplace. Hotels using G-rez pay a one-off fee of EUR999 (approx. lb672), then a set fee of EUR9.99 (approx. lb6) (+ EUR5 switch fee [approx. lb3]) per reservation. There are no other costs hidden behind complicated and confusing pricing models; no annual fees, no per room fees, no different fee levels depending on booking type and no monthly fees. The reservation fee is fixed for the length of the contract (three years), so hotels can budget accurately and easily.
G-rez will make its revenue by ensuring hotels GDS and Internet bookings are maximised, generating volume bookings which, ultimately, create additional income for the hotels in a win-win situation.
Technology - the newest in the marketplace. Developed in conjunction with both hoteliers and the developers of the Unirez system, HotelFactory, G-rez uses an advanced-robotic model, which essentially cuts out the middle man, making the G-rez solution highly cost-efficient.
Service - more than just technology. G-rez will take advantage of GHO's established Training Academy for GDS users, ensuring that hotels know how to use the system and providing strategic revenue advice to present an overview of all the opportunities available to hoteliers to maximise bookings. Network - part of GHO. G-rez customers will benefit from GHO's long-established relationships with major industry travel buyers.
Peter Gould, CEO of Great Hotels Organisation, said: "Not only will G-rez be the most cost-effective and advanced distribution service available, it is also the simplest to use. GDS and Internet distribution is such a major part of the hotel industry and we want to make sure that hotels don't miss opportunities because they are using complicated systems."
The G-rez launch campaign will include a sales and marketing drive at key trade shows and events (including ITB, WTM and HEDNA), sponsorship and PR.
