Rocks Modern Grill to Open in Beaver Creek

BEAVER CREEK, CO, June 23, 2005. Rocks Modern Grill, poised to be Beaver Creek's chicist and casual dining experience, is scheduled to open its doors on Friday, July 1. Conveniently located adjacent to the newly-renovated Beaver Creek Lodge in the heart of Beaver Creek Village, Rocks Modern Grill will be open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Headed by newly-appointed Executive Chef John Trejo, the menu will feature classic American fare including burgers, steaks, fish and seafood with local and regional influence on flavor and presentation. Guests will have the options of dining inside the main restaurant, alfresco dining on the outside terrace or in the private Wine Room by reservations. Rocks will also offer daily specials, happy hour and live entertainment.
Rocks Modern Grill's eclectic design is warm, intimate and casual, inspired by hues of gold, burnt orange, red and copper. The interior features dyed concrete flooring, floor-to-ceiling baked glass panels and the Rocks Modern Grill logo carved in copper lettering in the rotunda. The focal point of the restaurant is the natural colored bar designed with stack laid stone and bar stools covered in brown ostrich skin with chromium legs. The ceiling features bronze tone louvres accented with red back lighting and a copper-torched boulder immerses from the center.
The private Wine Room is located behind the main entrance to the restaurant. With walls lined with Rocks Modern Grill's extensive wine collection, the room seats up to 24 and is available for private events. The room is also ideal for wine dinners highlighting vintners from around the world.
Outside dining features breathtaking views of the ski slopes, three stone fire pits and a massive 10 1/2 foot tall bronze statue called "Bowstringer" by artist Dr. Jerry D. McKellar that weighs 4,000 lbs. Adding to the Beaver Creek Lodge's 6,000 square feet of meeting space, Rocks Modern Grill also features a unique meeting room with a fireplace, floor-to-ceiling windows and an outside deck that is ideal for groups up to 60 in a banquet style setting.
Also opening is Rocks on the Run deli, located across from Rocks Modern Grill, serving a variety of fresh deli items, made-to-order sandwiches, pastries, homemade soup, and the finest coffees to go.
