Jackie Rhody Joins Sales Team at New Sheraton Orlando North
ORLANDO, FL, March 10, 2006. Sales Manager Jackie Rhody joins the new Sheraton Orlando North at Maitland Center. She brings to her position 15 years of experience in the Orlando, Fla., hospitality market.

"Her leadership abilities and in-depth knowledge of this market will be tremendous assets to Sheraton, its employees and guests, as we build North Orlando's leading first-class lodging and conference facility."
Previously, Jackie was director of sales at the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs, Fla., where she led a seven-person sales and catering department. Jackie was directly responsible for association and government sales. Her team set a record, achieving the highest group room pace in its 12-year history. High profitability and guest satisfaction made Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs a 2004 Hotel of the Year. In 2005, Jackie was inducted into the organization's Winner's Circle, its top sales award.
Before Hilton, Jackie was assistant director of the Orlando Event Booking Center, a sales center for 14 Orlando-based Marriott hotels. She was responsible for the training and development of the Center's 12-person staff. Focusing on the corporate and government sectors, Jackie sold hotel stays across six brands to the national small meetings market. She is the recipient of top Marriott honors: the President's Award for guest satisfaction and the Golden Circle Award, recognizing outstanding salesmanship.
Jackie began her hospitality sales career at the Renaissance Orlando Hotel - Airport. She rose through the ranks at the 293-room meeting and conference hotel from administrative assistant to sales manager. Jackie focused on corporate and association sales throughout Florida and the Midwest. In recognition of her successes, she was named a Renaissance Hotel Manager of the Quarter, 1998.
A Central Florida resident for nearly 15 years, Jackie and her family - including two school-age children - live in Oviedo, Fla. Her professional memberships include: Central Florida Society of Association Executives, Florida Society of Association Executives, Society of Government Meeting Professionals and Tallahassee Society of Association Executives. Jackie is active in the Oviedo Little League as well as in her South Seminole County, Fla., homeowners association and Parent Teacher Associations.
