Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers Names Two Remote Sales Managers
SEATTLE, WA, June 28, 2005.The Sheraton Seattle Hotel & Towers recently named Cynthia Lathrop and Mario Busquets as remote sales managers, representing the Seattle hotel on the East Coast. Lathrop, a national account director, will be based in Washington, D.C. while Busquets, a senior sales manager, will handle accounts from New York.

Busquets and Lathrop will be responsible for soliciting new and existing accounts and representing the Sheraton Seattle in community and industry organizations. Lathrop will focus on association and corporate markets in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, and Washington, D.C., while Busquets will manage group sales in the Northeast and Southeast United States.
Busquets, who began his career at the Sheraton Seattle as an intern, was promoted to the remote senior sales position from sales manager of the Sheraton Seattle. Busquets has also served as the front desk guest service manager for the Sheraton. He earned his bachelor's degree in hotel administration and management from the University of Barcelona, Spain, in his native city.
Lathrop comes to the Sheraton Seattle from the Sheraton Boston Hotel, where she served as senior catering and sales manager. Lathrop's hospitality background also includes 17 years at the Gaylord Nashville Resort & Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn., where her roles ranged from senior catering manager to hotel restaurant manager. The recipient of Starwood's North American Sales Award in 2002, she is a member of both the Professional Convention Management Association and American Society of Association Executives.
