Bellstar Appoints Bryce Chalmers-Stairs Area GM

CANMORE, Alberta, March 20, 2006. Bellstar Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce the appointment of Bryce Chalmers-Stairs as the Area General Manager for its collection of resorts in Canmore. Bryce will oversee four condo-resorts and the opening of Alberta's first private residence club.

Bryce was most recently the manger of the Caribou Lodge, a 200-room hotel in Banff, Alberta. She brings a passion for the business and more than fifteen years of hospitality management experience at some of the top ranked hotel properties in Banff, including being part of the management team that opened the four-diamond Rimrock Resort Hotel.

"I thoroughly enjoy the hospitality industry and I embrace the variety of experiences" says Bryce. "No two days are ever the same, and you meet so many dynamic and wonderful people."

As Canmore Area General Manager, Bryce will lead a multi-property team in implementing new service strategies, which will add to the guest experience at the Bellstar-managed resorts in Canmore.

Bellstar's first property was Mystic Springs Chalets & Hot Pools; now Canmore's leading boutique resort. Bellstar recently took on the management of The Lodges at Canmore and Canmore Crossing. By summer 2006, Bellstar's Canmore portfolio will also include the new Fire Mountain Lodge, Big Horn Mountain Resort private residence club, and Phase II of The Lodges. Bellstar will also manage Blackstone Mountain Lodge, scheduled to open in 2007.

Bryce's energetic style of management is very hands-on, focusing on providing all levels of staff with a positive work environment and the support they need to deliver exceptional resort experiences.

As for her move from Banff to Canmore, Bryce is excited. "More and more people are discovering that Canmore is perfect for relaxing getaways, family trips or company retreats. Easy access to outdoor activities, a great mix of restaurants and unique resorts makes Canmore a perfect choice."
